any upload their name and question on the top of their essays? does their app do that for you?

Don't want to make it hard to read by having a header of my name and the question with their header on top of it.

Please let me know... thanks!

The header has your name and the essay name (ie. goals_essay), but not the question. I put the question in italics at the top. The online app allows you to preview your app before you submit.

Yeah, I also put the question in bold at the top of each of my essays.

In R1, at least one person received their invite within a week of the deadline. In the earlier parts of R1, those who were invited to interview received their invites around 5-10 business days after their applications went under review.

Hi Everyone,

I applied to Johnson on deadline day of R1. I got invited to interview on 24th Oct and interviewed on 1st Nov.

I opted for the Skype interview and was interviewed by a member of the Adcom. It was a blind interview i.e she hadn't read my essays. However, she had my resume and few pointers/questions from the people who had read my essays.

Some of the questions asked were:

1. Why MBA?
2. Why Johnson?
3. What is your biggest achievement so far?
4. How will you add value to the class?
5. What are you career goals? Why career shift?
6. What other colleges are you applying to?

I asked about the final decision date and she told me:

The final decision for R1 will come anytime between 6th and 20th of December.

Hope this info helped. ATB to everyone else.

Cheers!

Wait, did you actually mean the 6th? Not the 16th?

Nope..I meant Dec 6th . My interviewer stated that they Adcom had decided that this time they will try to start issuing the decisions a little early i.e around Dec 5th or 6th.

Hope that helped.

I don't know if I should feel good or bad about this new information. On the one hand, it would be so awesome to get good news by Tuesday, 12/6 (assuming it is good news that I will eventually get). On the other hand, I would be waiting for my phone to ring all day every weekday starting Tuesday, 12/6.

Personally, I like the excitement because I have something to look forward to sooner. I finished the last of my interviews (Rice) yesterday and I already feel bored.

I agree. But the longer you wait, the more anxious you get. Each day that passes that you don't get a call will make you even more paranoid that you won't get accepted.

True..that is indeed the flip side to this excitement...But the period between Dec 10th and 20th is going to be quite busy with a lot of Decision results coming out...Just curious, Johnson vs Fuqua..what would you pick?

Here's to hoping that I get a call sometime next week then.

I know this is the Johnson thread, but Fuqua is the absolute best fit for my goals... and this includes even all the so-called M7 schools. That's not to say that I would choose Fuqua over HBS if I got into HBS (big reason why I didn't apply to any M7 schools aside from my mediocre GMAT and horrid uGPA). But taking out the brand strength, Fuqua is my first choice.

Is Johnson your first choice?

Hmmm..In an ideal world, yes..but I need to take into account my financial situation....Let's just say that I'd love to go to Johnson.
