You can assume that your interviewer would have read your whole application very carefully and the questions will be specific to your application. So definitely reacquaint yourself with your essays before the interview. They will likely ask questions related to your weaknesses pointed out by your referees. Many of the questions were behavioral in the vein of "tell me about a time when..." so make sure you have at least a few good stories to use to answer those type of questions. Also be prepared to tell them how you will contribute to the program. Remember, Cambridge builds quite an eclectic student body (and I'm talking in terms of personalities here, not just passports) so they're looking for what's unique in you. Overall, the interviewer was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested to know more about me. I enjoyed it very much. Good luck! Oh and the reason you might find this thread quiet is because the school sets up a Facebook page very early in the process and facilitates discussion over there. For R1, they invited all candidates invited to interview and there are also Admissions staff and current students on there. Since you've been invited to interview, perhaps you could request to be added on there? Leftcoastguy: Did you decide Cambridge over Oxford? Wondering how you got to the decision. Thanks. Yes, I did and I can tell you that my decision was not an easy one to make. There is lots to like and little to dislike in each program so in the end it came down to these parameters: Fit - My interest lies in Healthcare and Consulting, areas in which Judge scores higher or equal to Oxford in my opinion. Said's program leans towards Finance and Entrepreneurship and this was very evident when I heard the program director Stephan Chambers speak during a reception last month. Program Structure - More practical, consulting-based projects, especially the CVP which is earlier in program means that I have something to put on my resume before Consulting recruitment begins in Feb/March. This is important for someone like me looking to switch into consulting with zero past experience in that field. On the other hand, I was never completely convinced that the compulsory Entrepreneurship project at Said would be as valuable to me. Diversity - My life so far has been split between India and the US so I would have very easily fit in with the student body as Said, where close to 50% of the students are from these two countries alone. However, I felt that I needed to step out of this comfort zone and meet people from other countries in Asia and Europe, which Judge has in spades. Personal Attention - I have found the Cambridge Admissions staff to be a lot more engaged during the entire application process. The Admissions staff maintain blogs, answer questions directly in this and other forums and voluntarily facilitate conversations between candidates on Facebook even before accepting them. They are a lot more open to "public" questioning, which means being able to take both bouquets and brickbats. I found the Oxford Admissions process was significantly more opaque. You would be right to argue that the Admissions staff may not necessarily be reflective of the school itself but my contact with students and alumni leads to believe that they are. Money Matters - There is a lot more scholarship money to be had from Cambridge. I was a fortunate recipient of a bursary award and there are more scholarships to apply for early next year.

Thanks Leftcoastguy, that's very helpful to know. It looks like you did not look at any US 2 year programs at all. What would you do if you got into a top 10 US school and got into Said and Judge as well?

Hey guys,
I am currently doing my MBA at judge and will be happy to answer questions if I can. Just as a start, I agree with the post above about the CVP and the diversity. CVP was brilliant for me and it sure looks good if you mention it when applying. The diversity itself is simply amazing. My CVP team had members from 5 different continents. Not everyone will get such a diverse team but you sure wont be complaining about diversity. Other than that, the experience of being part of the bigger Cambridge university is simply superb.

Did anyone get an admit after the R2 interview on 21st January? I was at Cambridge, not sure if there were others from the forum. Admits started going out on 23rd and I am happy to announce that I have been admitted to Cambridge. There were 26 interviewees in all, so I reckon more should have gone out (esp. given that there is a high conversion rate between On-campus interviews and admit offers)

I was keeping an eye out to see who might have been admitted as well. If it's anything like R1, then no one will mention anything about being admitted on the Facebook group for weeks presumably because they don't want to offend those who were denied (it doesn't look like they delete rejected candidates). So, from the students interviewed in R1 that are on the FB group, I have no idea how many were admitted, much less how many accepted. This is a little frustrating but I guess we'll have to wait until orientation to know for sure. Again, congrats and good luck with your other schools.

Hi I just got admitted to Cambridge MBA in R2. Anyone else has the good news to share? Meanwhile, I found the period between the admission and deposit is extremely short...

For those who are planning to apply to the Cambridge MBA program and concerned about how the new UK visa regulations have impacted placements, here's something that might raise your spirits. Cambridge MBA achieved a 97% placement for the previous batch. Over 50% of Cambridge MBA graduates switched careers (either industry, role or geography) and 29% managed to change all three Conrad Chua (Admissions Director) shares more on this --> Cambridge MBA post.

And here's Conrad Chua's take on the ranking: http://www.thecambridgembaadmissions.com/2013/01/28/why-you-should-apply-to-the-cambridge-mba-despite-us-improving-10-places-in-the-ft-mba-ranking/In short, this rise in Cambridge's FT ranking puzzles him just as much as the school not being ranked at all (due to technical reasons) in the most recent BW ranking. Once again highlighting the randomness of this whole ranking business. Regardless it's nice to see Cambridge among only 3 one-year programs in the worldwide FT Top 20 list. LB83 - It sounds like you should hear from them very shortly.

Any ranking should be taken with a huge pinch of salt and pepper. I see Warwick jumped 10 steps I can see St Gallen at 82 I see both IIM-A and ISB down by 10+ steps I see NUS down by 9 steps I can still find CASS there I can see Spanish schools are holding their forts I can see most of the Asian and Australian schools slipped After seeing all these interesting elements I know how much importance I need to give to all these rankings. And this goes for all the rankings!!

You used the ranking of the Spanish schools as evidence of the unworthiness of the ranking. I was interested to know why. p.s. you can imply something is "dubious" without actually using the word...

Have you noticed Warwick there, have you noticed St Gallen there? I have not said anything positive or negative. I just said you can not blindly trust the rankings. What you take positively or what you take negatively is entirely on YOU.
