I have just recently visited Cornell and Yale, as well as had some interviews at other schools, such as Darden.
The interview at Darden was awful. I began to drive to school at 4PM, and my car crashed, so when I arrived to the school, I was too tired that I could not speak fluently and express all my ideas. Maybe the interviewer felt bored too. Seemingly that she didn't want to give me her name card. I had to ask for it, and she had to look for it...Maybe I should drop Darden out of my list, even though I love it a lot and almost finished the application.
Now just waiting for other schools. My target is Yale or Cornell, but...I love all the schools that I applied to. (Just like you have 2 wives and 4 girl-friends. You love you wives most, but you still love your girl-friends a lot)
If you are done with the app, or mostly done, you might as well apply. Remember, you can even mention how " I was so excited to visit Darden, I crashed my car on the way down! Unfortunately, this made the rest of my day and subsequent interview more difficult, as I scrambled to get to campus on time."
or
"I was especially touched by the warmth Darden exuded when I arrived. Having been in a car accident on my way to campus, I was flustered and had difficulty concentrating during my interview, but the interviewer was polite and truly made an effort to make me feel at ease."
whatever, its all just spin
