What a beast of a test. The math section was very difficult for me, and the SC I think kept my verbal score down.
A little about my prep... 5 books and gmatclub.com
OG 11, Quant and Verbal
Kaplan and Kaplan 800
That is it. No courses or any other stuff. I knew that my weakness was in quant so that is were I focused. I did the Kaplan math, and almost all of the PS in the Quant
OG. I didn't get through most of the DS work in the books as there was simply too many problems!
I took the PrepCat 4 times before the test. Once to baseline myself before study and then three times this week. (650, 710, 710, 410 - Math Only)
Monday I took the cat twice, Tuesday I did just the math section once more - then took the night off.
After taking the cat again on Monday, I realized that my SC was in need of work so I read through all of the SC questions and answers in the
OG Verbal book on Tuesday (day before the test).

Overall, I had more than enough material to study. I don't think I applied my study time as effectively as I could have, but I'm happy with my score.
I would have liked to hit 740 - but 710 is just fine! Hey, they say that the statistical "swing" is about 30 points, so I shouldn't feel too bad!
Gmatclub.com help quite a bit when I couldn't figure out how to do a math problem. Typically, a quick search would provide all of the details I needed!

Day of test:
Woke up a 6:30
Left the house at 8:30
Arrived at the test center at about 10:00, started the test at about 10:30.
I brought a banana and a turkey sandwich with me. TAKE YOUR BREAKS! They are very, very valuable. I spent about 6 1/2 minutes on break each time. Quick trip to the restroom, and a quick "brain snack" to keep things fresh.
Test center was very nice, noteboards are not a problem at all. Overall, very positive experience.
Now to finish my apps and get to b-school!
