b.w B and C, C for me.
Other choices are not even close. The problem with B is 'who' -isintrusive and not needed.
C also has parallelism - 'Just as an archaeologist needs.......,..a nautical archaeologist needs'

'subject X modifier.......... subject Y ..... period. here the comparision is between the archaeologist and the Nautical archaeologist...
B and C come close and C beats B ...'cos of the 'Juts as ..... phrase , and So... '

Yes, C.
Idiom - "Just as..., so..." Also, the parallelism is to the peak in C.
"Just as an Arch needs some knowledge to evaluate this, a NArch needs someother knowledge to evaluate that."

doesnt anyone see a problem here in C with the word "so"?
Just as an archi needs X... so a natuiacal needs y? that doesnt make any sense.
It would be correct if it said Just as archi needs X, a naticual needs Y...
any comments?

Just as .... so.... is a correct idiom.
If you omit So, then you will have to omit Just.
As will do the job.
