Hello everyone,
I just wanted some advice on potential routes to take in terms of getting an MBA. I have not taken the GMATs but was wondering about your thoughts on mid-level programs. I reside near Philadelphia so my obvious choice would be Wharton if I were to be accepted. My question is would an MBA from other schools in the area be worth it if I wasnt able to get into wharton?
Places like Temple/Drexel/Villanova are the 3 that come to mind. Another option in the future might also be Carlson in Minnesota. Any insight would be appreciated.

Hi Einadrew,

This is based entirely on your choice, your expectations from the MBA and your expectations from yourself.

Wharton has a very rigourous MBA program. It is top ranked - among the 5 best, whichever ranking you follow, so its difficult to compare it to the other 3. Actually there is no comparison.

A key fact that can help you in your selection are that the better reputed the MBA, the more doors it will open up for you! You can expect excellent education, faculty, out-of-class opportunities, network, alumni base and jobs.

So, you will need to think of what matters more to you- seeking an MBA degree from a convenient location or going for the best there is, no matter the location.

Hope this gets you thinking.
