scored 680, first attempt 570....you guys are sweet, thanks for the help.
my question is what schools should I be looking at. I'm actually looking at some late deadlines as I really want to try and go to school this fall.
gpa 2.7:( with econ major and comm. minor from u.c.davis.
work experience, 4 years in hedge fund accounting.
recs should be good
and working on essays.
locally, i'm looking at davis and irvine as they both have late application processes.
also, if I weren't looking to apply to schools for this fall, what schools should i target for 2008?
Sorry for the delayed reply; the GMAT Club site has been down. I will assume that your post-MBA goal is in finance given your work experience. In that case, you could consider Thunderbird, UNC Kenan-Flagler, U. of Denver, Geo. Washington U., U. Rochester--all ranked highly by recruiters in financial services. You would have to check with these schools about their deadlines for this admissions season, but these would be solid candidates for your 2008 campaign. If you want to stay on the West Coast, you could consider USC's and UCLA's part-time programs, where the odds of admission are better. You should try to apply in the first round if you can. Leadership and extracurriculars, which you didn't mention, will be key to your chances at the more competitive schools. See Accepted.com
