I bought Kaplan 800 book from Amazon on everybody's recommendation. I thougth it was a book with tests only but it's actually a combination of questions and explanations. It that right? Or is there another Kaplan 800 book?

You have the right book. There is no CD tests with that book but it is a fantastic book. You will really be taught fundamentals and there is a good question bank in there.
