Kaplan CAT test [#permalink] New post 06 Aug 2010, 07:36
Hi all,

I've been studying GMAT for the last 2 weeks now and the test date is approaching - Aug 19 - (presenting it for the first time)

I've taken two Kaplan CAT tests in the last 5 days and the scores really confuse me. I got a 660 on the first (Quant 49, Verb 29) and a 720 on the second test (Quant 45, Verb 49). On the first test, I made 10 Quant and 16 Verbal errors; on the second test I made 13 Quant and 11 Verbal errors with 95 quant perct and 99 verbal perct.

When comparing the scores, I really can't find any logic to it.

Can someone please explain me how this could be?

I'm aiming to score a 700 and I still have 13 days to go, I'd like to know where I really stand.

Many thanks,
Georgie

Sorry I made an error, I got a 77 percentile on the Quant section and a 99 percentile on the verbal - overall percentile = 95

My advice would be to take one of the official CATs from mba.com. This is identical to the real test, with the same scoring algorithm, and should give you the best idea of where you are.

Hi georgiesaad,

I faced the same issue today. Took the kaplan free test and scored 640 Q- 41 (9 wrong) and verbal 40 (10 wrong).
