Kaplan CD Scoring Error?

Hi,

I am in the phase of my prep when I am giving practice CATs every few days.

MGMAT 1, 730, Q45, V44
Test in Kaplan Premier book, 710
MGMAT 2, 700, Q46, V40
Kaplan Premier CD CAT1, 700
MGMAT 3, 710, Q45, V41

However, when I gave Kaplan Premier CD CAT2, I scored 580! Q38, V36.

How is this possible. I gave all these tests in the matter of a month. From such a steady score to such a big drop?

Is it possible that the Kaplan CD scored my test wrong?

Hi budablasta,

There are a lot of factors that could result in a score drop. Almost all of them are psychological or physiological--which means that this is a great learning opportunity. How as the last test different from the others? did you get more or less sleep, eat different foods, take it a different time of day or after a different type or work or exercise? As yourself, what could have caused you to perform less that you know you are capable of--then avoid whatever that is on test day, to ensure you take your test at 100% capacity!
