Kaplan or Princeton prep course any good? [#permalink] New post 07 Feb 2007, 13:57
Hi guys, I'm looking for a GMAT prep course and came upon Kaplan's 9 session course for $1399 including course book, lesson book, etc. There's also Princeton's 8 session course for $1249. Has anyone had any experience taking either one? Do you feel that their strategies, teaching methods are useful? Are there any other prep courses that I can look into?

A prep course does one thing and one thing only: it gives structure to your prep. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you are disciplined, you can study on your own and learn just as much if not more than what the prep course offers, including dabbling with what other courses offer.

With that said, if you must, Manhattan > Princeton > Kaplan.

Princeton Review is most definitely better than Kaplan. PR gives you the official guide for homework (Kaplan doesn't even tell you it exists) and their tests are much better. No contest.

Manhattan GMAT.

I have never even heard of Manhattan Review. I have spoken with some of the creators of Manhattan GMAT and they know what they are doing there.
