Keeping your focus through the exam?? Please help [#permalink] New post 02 May 2014, 17:36
Hi,

How do you guys hold your focus after 30 minutes of AWA, 20 minutes of %$#@$ IR followed by 75 minutes of Quant and 75 minutes of English?

I am so saturated after the IR section that I have to keep motivating my mind to focus to get over Quant. By the time i reach English I am totally drained out.
I keep making so many silly mistakes that too in CR section which I never do if I give just English separately.

I know practice is the key but I just keep making mistakes in my practice test which is making me loose all my motivation :( I have my exam in a weak and am worried my English is going to tank!!

Any tips please????

Keep doing it and keep practicing. It is an exhaustive exam...
I would take the test in the morning and try to do it while I was well rested and could pay attention. Sometimes splashing your face with cold water helps - that brings out some odd reflex in your body that releases adrenaline into your blood stream (apparently the body is programmed to kick into gear if you hit the water and need to swim). High sugar bars and foods have been known to help people during the breaks.... but that's really all I can think of right now

P.S. Keep doing it; it will get better. You need to make sure you experience the whole thing and don't cut corners.
Good Luck!
