My goodness, that's a tough call. I'd say, given the rankings and the scholarship offers, it's a coin-flip. If I were you I'd go with whichever school you feel most comfortable at because those two cultures are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. Also, Tepper has a great reputation in the MBA world as a quanty school, but to the USA as a whole, as great as CMU is, a lot of people have no idea that the school even exists if they aren’t from the east-coast. When I decided to apply to b-schools Carnegie Mellon was the only T-25 school that I had never even heard of and had to look up (imagine my surprised when I learned how good it actually was). Good luck!
I have got admits from Indiana Kelley and CMU Tepper.
Tepper has offered me little scholarship while Kelley has offered me half tuition waiver.
Both are really good schools and I am interested in General Management/Not For Profit Consulting post MBA.
Considering the funding available and the financial constraints at my end I can manage Kelley, but I am still skeptical on giving up Tepper because Tepper is so renowned.
Can you kindly advise me on the schools.
Thanks a ton,
It's better to be lucky than to be good.
