my wl manager never gave me a date for when i should send in my updates. he said it's unlikely things will change in april because r2 has until may to decide, and that's when there'll be more movement. he said that updates are welcome any time until school starts...

I sent in an update and received a confirmation response, so for those that do not receive anything in a couple days, I would definitely follow-up.
I think it's logical that we won't hear back on April 16. Looking at historical trends, it seems like the first notification date is mostly for people where something was omitted or unclear in their application. For most of us, they'll wait until they get a sense of how the Class is shaping up. As a bit of a connoisseur of waitlists (as my sea of orange in my profile indicates), most schools have early to mid May notifications dates for this reason.

I've been following the thread and as it's been helpful to me, I would like to share what I do know, having spoken to my WL manager who very kindly offered the following information, for the benefit of those who may be still waiting to hear back from your contact. Nothing new but just to confirm the various bits and pieces that people have been reporting on here:
- There are 2 categories on the waitlist, those who need to submit additional information and those who do not
- A few decisions will be released on Apr 16 - they have no idea how many
- Most decisions will be posted on May 9
- After May 9, those remaining will have the option of staying on the waitlist
- Updates can be communicated to your WL manager through email (no specific format/word limit) anytime during this period
- "Updates" refers to a promotion, etc.
- A lack of updates does not negatively impact your application - entirely up to you whether to send one

I was rejected as well as a R2 Wait List. I haven't received an email yet, but had my status changed on the Kellogg website. Good luck to all who are still waiting to hear.

Did you get an email from the WL or just a status update on the application page? I got an email that said "your status has been updated" or something to that effect. Keep hope alive, everyone; we'll all land on our feet eventually.

Thank you AmericanWoman... if I don't hear back today, I'm going to put my deposit down at Stern and withdraw from the Kellogg WL. Hopefully this will shorten the WL somewhat.
