If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). As the majority of decisions are updated twice a week, we recommend checking the status on Tuesday and Friday, between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. Please note the majority of decisions will be posted during the last several weeks of the deadline.

Last several weeks? Thats encouraging though - it means that I might hear back before Christmas!

I thought they called with decisions (positive at least). You actually have to check yourself? I know when my time comes I'll be wearing a path on the information superhighway. I hope they don't come back with a quick response for you and say... waitlist.

Don't jinx it!

I dont think they come back with quick responses for anyone. The issue is simply one of having looked at enough candidates - I may look impressive, but when compared to other applicants, maybe I'm so-so or just mediocre. In all truth, probably everyone who applies is impressive in some way, and you have to make the call somewhere, somehow.

Knowing me, I'll still end up checking it everyday anyway :)

I've heard that they do phone calls for admits too. I hate the fact that I have people from that area code who call me. Every time I see it on my cell phone - even though all logic completely dictates it's no way it's kellogg - I still freeze for a quarter second.

The next three months are going to be LONG. Especially Dec, when the likelyhood of a call increases.

Sorry, I didn't mean for it to come out like that.

I've got a huge problem. The people I know from around here have the same area codes as Haas and Stanford, but must of my college friends are still around LA, a few of my law school friends are still around Ann Arbor, and I get the random call from former colleagues in NY from time to time. No other phone calls expected from Boston or Chicago though I do have relatives in Chicago.

Maybe what I need is a dedicated phone line for the admissions season.

Haha! Vonage to the rescue!

If its rings, you s*** your pants.

Six months later you realize you forgot to plug it in.

At least, thats what would happen to me if I tried that!

You have it worse than I do...

I have friends whose area codes match Chicago, Kellogg, HBS. I only jump every now and then :)
