Considering that Kellogg waived video essay for quite a few candidates, and that they expect spontaneous responses, if your performance was decent, they I'd go with that. Unless you have a good reason to believe that you'll do better.

I took my question thrice. The first time I froze mid sentence twice (Butterflies in stomach :sick: ) - I went again as my nerves had settled and I was over the stage fright. The second time, I did really bad as I was not prepared even a little for the question that was asked - I felt that I could definitely much better do with another shot. Third time - I got a question that I was pretty comfortable with and I felt that I did "decently" . Must add here that the audio was OK and that the video wasn't really a video (it was more like a slideshow of pics). I kept it(not calling Kellogg for a waiver) as I felt that my "pics" and voice were adding something to the application instead of taking something away from it. - Just my two cents.

Fully suited and booted. Even though in the video you can only see my top half it just felt strange wearing half a suit so I wore suit trousers as well.

People who want to do an on-campus interview, how are you scheduling it? Is calling them the only option? Also, is there a way to check available dates before calling?

I called them to schedule it, I don't think there's any way to check available dates beforehand.

They asked me which dates I wanted and we went from there, they were pretty laid back about it. PSA - As of 11 am this morning, there are no Saturday spots left.

A button down shirt sufficed for me. I saw no point taking longer to dress than to answer a single question in my own home.

I chose the option of an off-campus interview. Does anyone know if I need to call them to set it up or will they notify me through e-mail? I know for on-campus, you have to call them. And does Adcom place equal weight on the two options?

Check your confirmation email. The following is within, so no don't call and try and arrange an off-campus interview through admissions. They will contact you rather than vice versa.

If you requested an off-campus interview, you will receive an email within four to six weeks from the Round deadline with an update regarding the status of your interview requirement.

Figured I'd post my video experience. My first attempt went perfectly but their system only recorded 30 seconds, my second attempt only recorded 15 seconds, and my last attempt only recorded 1 second. Did anyone have the same issue? Each attempt I did the video showed me being recorded for the full 90 seconds but didn't actually record it and each attempt reduced the actual recording time. I called the admissions office and they waved this component on my application. They said it wouldn't affect my application. What are people's thoughts on this? Anyone have experience from Round I? I'm so bummed that my first try went perfectly but didn't record the whole 90 seconds.

My questions were - What food do you like? Will you be able to eat that food everyday?, Who has been your most influential manager or leader and why?, and Tell us about the most interesting place you’ve traveled to. What did you enjoy most about it.
