I am really confused....
So my application is ready since last sunday. ...When I heard that the deadlines have been moved to the 9th, I thought I will probably give the video essay one more try. I did it once and I felt it was a decent performance and not an exceptional one. I am in two minds whether to take the risk of trying it once again or just be happy with what I have now. According to you guys what are the parameters I should evaluate my essay on that would help me determine if I should go for another attempt? What would you guys do. Just want some advice/ comments..
Considering that Kellogg waived video essay for quite a few candidates, and that they expect spontaneous responses, if your performance was decent, they I'd go with that. Unless you have a good reason to believe that you'll do better.
I took my question thrice. The first time I froze mid sentence twice (Butterflies in stomach
) - I went again as my nerves had settled and I was over the stage fright. The second time, I did really bad as I was not prepared even a little for the question that was asked - I felt that I could definitely much better do with another shot. Third time - I got a question that I was pretty comfortable with and I felt that I did "decently" . Must add here that the audio was OK and that the video wasn't really a video (it was more like a slideshow of pics). I kept it(not calling Kellogg for a waiver) as I felt that my "pics" and voice were adding something to the application instead of taking something away from it. - Just my two cents.
All the best!!!
