Well finally had the Kellogg interview this evening. Went average I'd say, which is prob not a good thing for my app :(

Anyways, met at a Borders. Interview lasted 1hr 20 mins, it was a very tough interview I would say. A lot of Why? What do you mean? abrupt type questions and it didn't help that he was in Mgmt Consulting and thats what I want to do post MBA.

His last question was the worst. It was simple enough - List the top 3 bullet points on why Kellogg should admit you. Well, the way the interview was going thus far, I knew that my standard responses would have been cut short by him, so I was trying to come up with things on the top of my head and it just was painfully long. Ugh. :(

Oh well, at least its done with!

Congratulations. Do you think you can list some of the questions asked?

Hmm, the Why MBA? Why now? Why Kellogg? He also had a lot of follow up questions to those, along the lines of "Why can't you do your MBA at XYZ University?" And, "Many schools now have the teamwork culture that Kellogg has, what makes Kellogg special to you now?"

Some questions on teamwork and how to manage situations when you feel you have the best answer/idea, but the other members of the team don't agree with you. And "Why should I take you as a team member?"

A few more related to my post MBA goals...All in all a pretty tough interview!

He wouldn't keep you there for almost 1.5 hours if things were going that bad. I would view this as a good thing!
