Anyone else who will have the courage to NOT check their email through the day on 21st :D?

My email is open at work all day anyway; looks like I will just be freaking out every time I get a piece of spam in the ol inbox haha.

I remember the motto we created for R1 was "No news is good news!". I didn't get an email and then got the call the next day.

But I honestly think that was a system error of some sort that won't be repeated in R2. It doesn't really make sense to send the email and then call admitted students later.

Congratulations to everyone who matriculated already (or will before tomorrow's deadline). I'm sad to not be joining you, but you're going to have a blast (especially with those rockin' KWEST trips)--best of luck at the big K!

The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been determined, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Application decisions may be released on or before the decision deadline, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last few weeks of the round.

What am I supposed to understand as regarding my application on Round 2?

By the way, I cant believe this was the 1000th post. Its as if the first 999 were completely useless.

Has any Indian applicant ever gotten into Kellogg with a 700 Gmat and below average GPA????

I could answer that question definitively by Thursday. Just saying.

One of my favorite posts on the Wharton thread suggests that schools hire a CPO - "Chief Panic Officer" responsible for "inciting absolute panic amongst all of the applicants". Job responsibilities to include:
1. Posing as students on the boards with messages like "Accepted!!!!! They say all the calls are done!" two days before the deadline.
2. Changing minute elements on random applicants' log in pages to see whether people notice that the font changed from Calibri to Times New Roman or that "Congratulations" was posted at the top of the page in light grey font for 2 minutes from 10:36am to 10:38am PST
3. Calling each applicant from an 847 area code on March 21st... to offer a low rate if they switch their car insurance
4. Bonus pay for having the 847 calls come from "Kellogg... we're doing a brand survey on our cereal offerings"

Role will change tactics yearly and be highly compensated. To be considered, take a $250 test. Retake. Curse yourself and retake again. Pay$250 application fee. Interview. Stress, stress, stress, stress. And then (hopefully) rejoice. Just not until March 21st

Best of luck everyone!

Haha hilarious! Kellogg has some work to do catching up to Wharton in that department though. Nothing was more disappointing than the "Next Steps in the Admissions Process" email from Wharton that went over what the interview would be like IF they decided to interview you haha.

At least I am here on the east cost where I am able to hide the physical impact of this process under multiple layers of winter clothing. (No way Spring has started yet.)

You're right. I should have pre-planned today's meals long ago. I think Im going to lie to the GF by telling her I had salad for lunch so she'll let me order in Chinese food for dinner.

Tomorrow will be filled with beers, frozen mac 'n cheese and nuggets. Done.

Haha...by planning the next meal, I mean picking my pizza toppings You definitely deserve Chinese food. Eat some chicken lo mein for me!

I guess I'll turn off my cell phone tonight... I don't want to be notified of an email at 1am, because I know that'll mean bad news! I'd reather see it in the morning and at least get a good (??) night of sleep... And maybe, just maybe, wake up, see there's nothing in my inbox, and during the day receive the much expected call!
Best of luck guys! I know these comments serve no purpose for you, but as I cannot talk about any of this stuff at work, I try to say useless things here to relieve the stress...
I promise that if you do the same (and many of you clearly do!) I will not complain about it!

I got my ding in Round 1 shortly after 1AM EST, so I think a little after midnight Evanston time, the Dings and WL applicants get e-slapped in the face. I saw the email over breakfast (~7AM) and checked my status to (not surprisingly) see my ding.

In my part of the world it's already a brand new day. The real waiting game starts now, and will carry on through the day at work.
Here goes one of the most unproductive days ever!
