I have been admitted to Kellogg Part Time starting Spring 2010. I did not see a topic regarding Kellogg part time admits so starting a new thread for everyone who have been admitted or applying to Kellogg PT.

Hey,
Are you from Chicago? I will relocating to Chicago to pursue part-time MBA from Kellogg.
When are you planning to apply? Are you applying anywhere else?
Regards.

Yep born and raised in the Windy city. I am hoping to apply in Jan/Feb to start during the summer session which I beleive begins in June or July (can remember off the top of my head). I am taking the GMAT in a week or so and it is getting down to crunch time. I am getting late game jitters and hoping to hit my target score around 680.
I will also be applying to University of Chicago as well. I know that Depaul is supposed to have an excellent part time MBA, along with Loyola but I do not think they offer much in the long run return on investment. I am not knocking those schools but I have bigger aspirations.
So if there is anything you want to know about the city or if anyone else has any questions please feel free to let me know. I would be more than willing to answer them.

Am planning to apply for the Saturday MBA at Kelloggs. Have only a 680 GMAT (single attempt). Undergrad very poor GPA (2.5), years later did a MS at a small (but accredited) midwest University - GPA 3.8.
Whats your GMAT and/or profile? Will help me understand the profile of students accepted for part time courses.

For all those applying to Kellogg part time, do confirm if the faculty in part time is the same as full time? From a friend who went to Kellogg evening program (TMP) and then transferred to full time - the Profs were not the same.
This is one reason why I choose Booth over Kellogg even though I got accepted at both.

Awaiting a response from Kellogg as well. Haven't seen a response from anyone on the forum so far on admits/dings for Kellogg weekend MBA - Summer 2010. Hoping they get around to it soon. GMAT: 730 Extra-curricular: Photography and bird-watching activities - nothing earth shattering Senior software engineer at a well known medium sized company Undergrad: decent scores from Bombay University (Mech engr) Grad school: 3.67 (Mech engr) Work exp: 15 years Since I fit the standard Indian software engineer profile, I'm guessing that I'll have a slimmer-than-average chance of getting in. Especially, since I haven't applied anywhere else at all... so far, anyways.

I was relatively late to the game as well. Applied 3 days before the second deadline and interviewed 2 wks prior to that. I've read in at least one place that around 85% of the applications roll in during the last 3 days, and a vast majority of that come in just hours before the deadline. So I doubt that applying on the last day, is a significant disadvantage. Good luck!

I submitted my Saturday Program application early last week. Lets keep each other posted about outcomes.
AFAIK, they call people who are admitted and send only a postal letter to those who are not. People have received letters in about 2 to 3 weeks in the past and admit phone calls as early as 2 days after submission.
Any news of how it's playing out this year for R2 applicants?

I applied on the last day of the R2 deadline. My interview was 2 days before the deadline. Talking to my friends applying the very last day is a slight disadvantage. I received a card from the interviewer too in mail. Just general thank you for interviewing and all. I believe thats standard practice. Did you guys receive one too? I think the professors are the same for the PT/FT program. Thats what they say on their website. Right? I will be applying to Booth on the last day too. Interview scheduled for May 22. Essays still not ready!

Has anybody else received it? Also is it a good idea to email admissions to inquire about the decision or will it look corny?

I got a postcard marked the first business day after my interview, before I had submitted my application.
So I'm pretty that the first post-card is not indicative of a ding.
