I'm with you.
700 GMAT, 3.1 GPA but played varsity football and had other extras, >4yrs in medical device sales/marketing, coached youth sports after university, saved the world from terrorists releasing nerve gas (wait...that was a season of 24...nevermind).
I've got to be honest, all of those R1 dings on this site is making me nervous...

Actually I gave my GMAt in september and tried to meet R1 deadlines of all ultraelites and elites and in the process messed up my essays in a hurry to submit. Big mistake and even bigger learnings (although costly)
Now I have taken 1.5 months for my kellogg essays and did all I could
I cant believe I missed out my fund raising efforts in a hurry to submit.
so hope fully something happens this time :)

WOW! I can't imagine doing eight sets of essays. I am applying to two R2 and was surprised at how little I have been able to copy from one school to another. Obviously similar themes but completely different essays.
Sounds like you have made a good correction to your application from R1. Good luck!
