Why Prep Online? You get the best teachers.Unlike old school test prep, we don’t employ 10,000+ unproven teachers across the country. We hire only the industry's best GMAT teachers and test experts, and our online platform brings them right to you. Prep meets technology.
You get instant, precise data about your performance throughout the course. See your progress, up to the minute, on hundreds of concepts at any time. We pinpoint exactly what you need to hit your score goals. Study from home.
GMAT prep—on your couch, in your pajamas. No more strip malls. No more drab test centers. Study where you want, when you want. It’s sustainable.
No more books. Much less paper. No commuting in traffic. The smartest prep at the best price.
Why pay more? Other companies charge $1500 to cover the costs of hundreds of physical locations and millions of pages of printed material. Knewton is able to deliver the best prep at the best price—because online learning is all we do. We’re so confident in our GMAT course that we’ll give you a guarantee: Improve your score by 50 points, or your money back. Compare Our Course-

Knewton is different from Kaplan in many ways. Here are just a few: 1) We're online-only, so we can dedicate all of our resources to producing a tremendous online course. 2) Because of our online platform we only need to hire about a dozen teachers, and they are some of the best in the world. 3) The developers of the original GMAT algorithm work here. 4) Our course is half the price. Please let me know if you have questions of any kind. Thanks! Josh Senior Editor Knewton, Inc

Thanks for the question.
We do not currently offer any tangible books, though our course is filled with hundreds of pages of content. We're very happy with our online-only model.

Hey, thanks for the question. At Knewton, we generally recommend students spend as much time outside the classroom as they do inside the classroom. For a section that meets twice a week, this would mean at least 6 hours a week devoted to completing homework, reviewing your work, catching up on concepts, watching concept videos, etc. So it's 6 hours in class (two 3-hour sessions) plus another 6 outside the classroom. Hopefully helpful, Josh

There was a misunderstanding in one of the discussions here. If you have an official GMAT score, Knewton considers that your baseline score so it really doesn't matter how well you do on their diagnostic test.

If you have an official GMAT score, Knewton considers that your baseline score so it really doesn't matter how well you do on their diagnostic test. You are correct Parisa From Knewton's terms: http://www.knewton.com/terms-and-conditions#guaranteeQuote: 5. Guarantee. (a) GMAT: Knewton guarantees that your future GMAT score will be at least fifty (50) points higher than your baseline score. If it is not, then you shall be entitled to receive a full refund of your Knewton membership fee subject to the following terms: For students with a valid official GMAT score (defined by GMAC as the score from a GMAT taken less than 5 years ago), that official score serves as your baseline. If you have multiple official scores, the highest score will be used as your baseline. If you do not have a valid official GMAT score, your Knewton diagnostic CAT score will serve as your baseline. For students with multiple accounts and multiple diagnostic scores, the lowest of these scores will serve as your baseline. You must establish your baseline before you access any Knewton classes or resources in the paid course (aside from the first class session) and you must take an official GMAT within your Knewton membership period to qualify for the guarantee. You must complete five (5) Knewton GMAT CATs, attend all class sessions (either live or archived), and complete all required homework for each lesson. Your refund request must be accompanied by an unopened GMAT official score report and must be received by Knewton within sixty (60) days of your test administration. If your baseline is from an official GMAT and that score does not also appear on the recent score report, you must provide an official score report for that administration as well. If you have multiple test administrations after the start of the Knewton course and before the end of your membership period, the highest official score will be used for money-back guarantee purposes. The refund will be made in the original form of payment in US dollars.

So it'll cost 590... And they refund you if you don't manage to improve your performance by 50 points. So basically I'd be paying 11.8 dollars per point. Somehow, I can live with that.
