IMO B




But I think parallelism is broken in B..."they depict ...and portray..." would have been correct..Please post your thaughts...

I would also prefer the option of 'depict and portray', if it were given as an option.

I think, B only stands where there is parallelism (not exact, but still of tenses)

X is A and does B ==> X is A and (X) does B.
Similar analogy for this question.
