Last 5 days before the exam [#permalink]

Hi everyone,

My exam is on the 5th of may. So far I have given the following practice tests:

Before preparation:

GMAT Test Prep 1 - 690
GMAT Test Prep 2 - 660

After Preparation:

MGMAT 1 - 700
Kaplan free test - 720
MGMAT 2 - 730
MGMAT 3 - 700
MGMAT 4 - 660
MGMAT 5 - 730
MGMAT 6 - 730

I am targeting a score of 760, but so far I have been way short of that mark. I feel I need to focus more on verbal. I am thinking of giving two more practice tests in the next two days and keep the last 3 days for revision. Please suggest which tests can I go for, or what else can I do in these last few days to increase my score.

Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Tarun

Hey Tarun,
You have not mentioneed the break down of ur test( i.e quant and verbal) Taking more More tests won't help until you have an endurance problem. You may like to go through the docus of all gmatprep questions by whiplash. Stay connected with official material only. Even if you want to go for more tests, do the repeats of gmatprep 1 and 2 only.
Stay cool and confident and best wishes for you to reach ur dream score.

you have more consistency in verbal than quant. I would suggest you to review the tests you have given till now.TRy to find what errors are you generally doing, are you rushing towards the end of the tests due to lack of time and therefore making a lot of errors. Also do a total analysis of your 6 mgmat tests, they will help you identify the key areas you need to stress.
With just few days left for ur exam, i would suggest you to review ur error log and focus on official questions.
Also, don't forget to rest a day prior with just few problems here and there.
Enjoy ur exam as doing so has proved better performance for so many test takers

Don't take any tests 5 days before the exam. You need to review topics that make you jittery and then just relax. Take only the actual GMAT now. Mind you, GMAT is not a test in which you can see tons of improvement in a week or even a month. It is not a knowledge based test so make the most of these last days by relaxing your mind and preparing yourself for the day. That itself could give you a 20-30 point push since it is a test of nerves.

There are some people who mess up their practice tests but do much better on the actual test (the pressure makes them think smart). Let's hope you are one of them.
