do research on other biz schools for next year's application cycle.

personally, I think that it is not easy to get an admit following a WL... but only time can tell... 17 more days

C' mon guys, lets stay positive here. I know that the real thing will happen in June/July, but we could hear a few good news since May. Don't lose hope.

a11c99: did you resign to your place in the waitlist, since you're matriculating with Oxford?

If I were Ladbrokes, these would be the odds,

Remain on WL - 1/33
Dinged - 4/1
Accepted - 27/1

:-) I'm being positive, the negative would be to receive a ding ... nope, I'll be on the WL until the end, I want to receive LBS final decision: admit or ding.

It was indicated in BW forum that the no. of admits in the portal stood at 435.
Any thoughts on this?

I just spoke to somebody who is familiar with the London housing market, and he just told me that if you are a student in London, landlords normally require 6 weeks worth of deposit + 6 months up front. Does this sound right?

no, there are housing laws they must follow. I suggest you find your housing through some kind of agency. the fee they charge is about 300 pounds or one month rent, but the contracts are solid, which means you ll be paying month-on-month with 1-2months deposit max.

This guy works for "London Relocation Services"

Per the email I got:

"***Our charge is the equivelent of one month rent. You will be required to pay a £300 deposit to set up the appointment day. This is deducted from the final fee
**Also note the if you are going to be attending school here landlord require a deposit of 6 weeks (that goes into a government protected account) and 6 months up front"

thats ridiculous, how does anyone have the right to ask you what you are doing here in London. They can't prejudice you because you are a student, or race or religion. The "deposit" is there for a reason, which is a form of guarantee against payment delinqency or damage to property beyond normal wear n tear.

I ve lived in the UK before, and I've never heard of anything like that. I think you better talk to other agencies besides this "relocation services", sounds like a bunch of swindlers to me.
