The emphasis of the Duke essay is on how one becomes a collaborative leader. It is not always easy to rise among equals and win over others. The Anderson essay is more open ended and talks about leadership in general. Curiously, it asks one to evaluate not leadership but management potential. There is a huge distinction between managers and leaders. Make sure that you make a strong case that you are both and that your leadership skills will make you an efficient manager as well. The same example might work for both but your introspection/reflection should be tailored to the particular question.

Duke Essay
1.To be a good team player, one needs to be an effective individual leader and vice-versa. Describe an example of where you were challenged to become a leader in a team-oriented context. What was the challenge you faced, how did you address it, and what did you take away from the experience for your future development as a leader?
what do you think is the difference between the Duke Essay and the Anderson Essay...
I am planning to re-use the Duke Essay for the Anderson with slight changes, as i feel both are similar and talk of Leadership in General
If the master-blaster "Admits" think that they differ, please let me know your comments
