slight off topic. Is USNews the best ranking to look at or businessweek?
US News is considered the more reputable ranking.
US News is the ranking that most people tend to agree with.
Avernusaur, I think the businessweek "tier" system rankings is a better reflection of reality and I agree with it more than USNews. USN's are more like the Financial Times rankings where for exapmple, the Indian School of business is at # 12, ahead of Stern, Tuck, Yale, Oxford, Kellogg, Ross, Haas, Darden to mention but a few (disclaimer: my future school always does better in BW rankings

Oh btw, although I did not apply to them, I got an e-mail from UC Irvine this AM: "U.S. News and World Report released their latest edition of "America's Best Graduate Schools", and The Paul Merage School of Business Full-Time MBA program jumped 15 spots to #36 in the U.S"
For goodness' sake, how can a school jump 15 spots in one year
Leadership is not really about telling people what to do — a strategy that doesn't always work. It's about creating an environment where people can speak up, where we can get into debates without becoming confrontational or negative. [It's] about getting people to bring all of themselves to the table." - DuPont CEO Ellen Kullman; Kellogg '83
