Letter of Intent after interviewing, before decision? [#permalink] New post 07 Feb 2013, 13:56
Is it common for MBA program applicants who went through the interview to send in letters of intent (or interest) to the program before the offer comes out? If an applicant is strongly committed to the program, and the interview was just conducted, would a letter of intent stating why and how the applicant is committed to the program hurt the chance of getting an offer? Have you heard of anyone who did it?

Thank you so much.

Not a good idea. You should send a thank you to your interviewer, but your application is all the intent you need to provide. Most schools view the submission of unsolicited materials as a negative and potentially an instant way to get disqualified.
