Letters of Recommendation for Haas and UCLA [#permalink]
18 Aug 2009, 20:31
I'm reaching out to my managers now to get LOR. Do you know what the recommenders have to do besides writing a letter for Haas and UCLA? Do they also need to fill out a questionnaire? Thanks!!

I think they require both. See attached files for samples. Note that Haas requires letter to be on company stationary.

when they send out an email to the recommendation providers, does the email include the application deadline?

I'm a little confused. Does your recommender have to write a separate recommendation essay in addition to answering the questions? Or is answering the questions the recommendation?
Do people usually waive their right of access? Is there a proper protocol here?

Do people usually waive their right of access? Is there a proper protocol here? Not sure about your first two questions, but regarding waiving your right to access, the general advice is to do it. If I remember correctly, schools generally have to offer you the right to see your rec letters by law; waiving that right gives adcom the assurance (even if they don't need it) that your recommenders will be absolutely candid, truthful, and not hold back.

Is anyone know the length limit of each question?
