logical comparison, B compares grassy fields to the Birds -- which are vanishing. Hence correct

"Like the grassy fields and old pastures" cannot compare to the "sandpiper", "that...", or "in the Northeastern of US". Only correct choice is "the bird".

the bird - grassy fields can go together but not sandpiper.
