Between A and B, I would take B as this type of modifier use is more prevalent

I quickly eliminated D and E and was left with A,B and C

between A and C, i picked A

between A and B .. i will go with B


my answer is B

I don't think it is B

How can Lincoln "knew" at the same time "discovering"

First peddler knew
then Lincoln discovered

D uses the correct tense time line.

usage of ; is correct as it introduces another idea related to the first

Nope, One of those nasty ones from 1000 SCs but the orignal source may be ARCO

B.

Answer cant be D. what comes after the colon does not stand on its own

Well, the only difference in choice D (maybe it's asaf's mistake?) is that in Arco it is actually the colon in the end

I just double checked and this is how we have it in 1000SC. Yeah, It would be nice to get an OE for this!!!
