Linda Help required on (UNC) Kenan-Flagler's Essays [#permalink]

Hi All
UNC has these two essays
1) Describe your career progression to date, highlighting leadership and management positions and reasons for changing jobs or career paths, if applicable. Tell us how your experience, coupled with an MBA degree from UNC, will lead you to your short-term and long-term career goals.
2) Describe the major obstacles or challenges you have faced in pursuit of your goals. Tell us how you addressed these challenges and how they have shaped you.
Here I am confused with the goals in these two essays. Whether the goals in Essay 2 are same as that of Essay 1? Or goals in Essay 2 can be personal goals as well?
In Essay 2 i have talked only about personal goals(such as better education, quality of life etc) which i set in Schools and colleges. Obstacles and challenges that i have mentioned are pesonal and are related to my background such as poor income, lack of resources etc which i overcame in course of time.
My question is should i go ahead with my interpretation or should i change these personal goals to professional goals and talk about hurdles that i faced in professional life?
