I'm applying for Haas' first round. I'm also thinking about applying to CMU and Cornell.
But actually my goal is either Harvard or Stanford, and I'm planning to apply to those schools for second round.
What do you think my chances are in going to these schools ?
My main concern is that I've been working for the past 5 years as a software programmer, with minimum leadership experience. While writing my essay, I didn't find anything significant either in terms of accomplishments/leadership experience.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Without leadership or some accomlishments your chances are poor at HBS, Stanford, and Haas. And probably not much better at Cornell. That would change for Cornell if you have some leadership or accomplishment at least in the non-professional sphere. Try to move into a little more business related area and/or bring out non-professional leadership or accomplishments to improve your chances.
Good luck!
