Links regarding US Work Authorization and Visas for International Students

These links are provided as a convenience to club members. One should not construe the presence of a link below as an assertion that the information contained in the link is correct. Assume that any information you come across is FALSE until confirmed by an official source. To state the obvious, information posted on GMAT Club is NOT an official source with regard to immigration and visa issues.

It is useful to have some understanding of these visa/ work authorization issues when considering study in the United States. The visa status of students is often a concern of employers and thus it should be a concern of the international MBA student as well.

Thanks to NAFTA, students from Mexico and Canada have somewhat different work authorization procedures. This topic is covered in some of the links below.

Once again: Assume that any information is FALSE until confirmed by an official source. To state the obvious (again), information posted on GMAT Club is NOT an official source with regard to immigration and visa issues.

If you have any questions regarding the immigration laws of the United States, seek the advice of an attorney who specializes in Immigration Law.
