List K consists of 12 consecutive integers. If -4 is the least integer in list K, what is the range of positive integers in list K? A. 5 B. 6 C. 7 D. 11 E. 12

cause the numbers go from 0----7 (that is 8 numbers)
so range of positive numbers are is 7-1=6...which is the OA...
0 is not a POSITIVE number...so exclude that...

-4,-3,-2,-1,0 that would be 5 numbers
1,2,3,4,5,6,7 that would be 7 numbers
range is 7-1 equal to 6
ok, i finally got it

its asking for the range of POSITIVE elements..thus..the range should 7-1=6...

5 6 7 11 12 -4.-3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 7-1 = 6 zero is neither negative nor positive

I missed the part range of positive integers -4, -3, -2 , -1 , 0, 1, 2 ,3 4, 5 ,6 ,7. stop So highest positive - lowest positive = range 7-1 = 6

The interesting thing is that GMATPrep gave me this question after 5 correct answers, so it should really be rated 700+ I think. But I also had it wrong, as I answered 7, and not 6 (7-1 which is the range) Best,

Solved it like a consecutive set problem.
X - - 4 / 1 + 1 = 12 ... x +4 = 11 ... x = 7.
Since 0 is not a positive integer, the range is 1-7. answer is 6, B.
