Thank you for such a long list of idioms.
And we should not forget to refer to the long list of idioms in the wren& martin high school grammar book.

'enamored with', 'enamored of', both are right. Only the former is given in the excel sheet.

Application of idioms to sentances. [#permalink]

First of all, I want to thank you for taking pains to compile this idiom list.

However, if these idioms could be used to construct sentances, these idioms would indeed get HAMMERED into our heads.

I know i'm being a bit too demanding, but this is the approach to master idioms.

Its nice that you have posted here. I am uploading an excel sheet hat has these idioms set in two A4 pages, in big font. Its ideal for printing and then pasting on your bedroom wall where you'lkl take a look at them regularly.

I find the Idiom List doc file more helpful. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think idioms are better learned/understood when used in a fleshed out sentence rather than just a "x as to y."

KUDOS
I am uploading another doc ... the first one seems to be empty...

I am not sure if this is the same doc that has been uploaded.

This has examples for almost all of the idioms

Thanks
