Living Cost in USA [#permalink] New post 10 Dec 2009, 03:19
I am not a US citizen.

How can I assume the cost of living during MBA? I can sense NY, Boston and CA are expensive to live, anyway. Is it a huge difference if I go school in Iowa, North Carolina or Texas?

Help me how to know of it.

I'm not sure where you live now, and this cost of living calculator does not account for international to USA, but it does compare places within the USA. You can put $100,000 income for NYC and see what the change is in Austin for that same income. It shows that, for example, that if you had $100,000 in NYC (Manhattan), then, to have the same standard of living in Austin, you would only $43,294.51 to maintain the same standard of living as you had in Manhattan, NY. I'm not sure i agree with those numbers, but you can Google "Cost of living calculators" and see what others you come up with. See my link below:

Thank you, Jallenmorris.

It really helps me to catch an image of living. As I used to live in Seattle WA, I could compare the living costs to that of Seattle.
