Does anyone know what logical predicate means? The GMATPrep tests have some SC answers explained with the words "logical predicate". Was just wondering what this means in the context of SC questions.

Predicate that follows the subject logically - I'm guessing :-D ! But then who cares what it is called as long as one gets it right .........

if you get into logical predicates - it would lead you to a very fascinating branch of Logic as used in English Language - First Order Logical Predicates etc.

Simply put a logical predicate is that part of the sentence (obviously the predicate part) which affirms or denies what the suject says -

For example - We are mortals --- mortals is the logical predicate.

Watch out for phrases that detract from the logical argument.

Thanks

That's a very common question because it's a phrase no one has ever heard of before :)
