Main Idea Questions Ignore the details(black them out in your mind)
Predict the main idea - cover up the answer choices and predict the answer before looking at the choices, and then see what is closest to your view
Main idea will definitely be mentioned in the first half of the passage itself-if it’s not talked about it until the second half, it’s not the main idea-main idea may touch both the passages
Inference MUST BE TRUE based on the passage
Inference on GMAT indicates that it can be proved 100% using the details-
Inference in real world means ‘guess’ or ‘assumption’ but in gmat it needs to be proved completely. No outside information is allowed
