I am looking for a different problem similar to OG PS #8. For some reason, I am having a hard time understanding this problem and the wording. I was wondering if any one know a similar problem that I can test this similar concept?

I made this error twice, so I am trying to find a similar problem to test my understanding.

The part I've highlighted is not correct. It should be divided by 100 (not by 1/100). Dividing by 100 is mathematically the same as multiplying by 1/100. So the answer to your question is 'yes' - you've done the calculation correctly.

Big4Advisory,

I will give you two related problems that I know trip up students. What troubles most students is dealing with percentage quantities that are less than 1, say 0.3%.

Question#1:
Which of the following is equal to 1/4 of 0.01 percent?
A) 0.000025
B) 0.00025
C) 0.0025
D) 0.025
E) 0.25

Answer:

A) 1/5
B) 1/50
C) 1/200
D) 1/500
E) 1/5000

They are both written by ETS, the guys who wrote OG PS#8, which is an old GMAT problem. I am doing this based on memory so there may be slight differences in the answer choices.
