Hi All,

I just took the GMAT, and while I was pleased with my overall score (730 - 96%), I'm concerned about my score distribution: (Q 47 - 73%, V44 - 97%).

I have a pretty solid BS and MS GPA (3.6) in Physics and Mech E, respectively. I came from a public Ivy and I currently work as an engineer, so I feel like this low quant score will be overlooked based on my strong quantitative background. Thoughts?

I'm currently applying to top 10 programs.

It is not really a low Quant Score. Yes, it is 73rd percentile but the Max score is 51... you are only 4 points away from it. Also as a matter of fact, 49 is an 83rd percentile - not that high either.... DO NOT worry and good luck with your apps!

Great Job on the verbal!

Also, here is a copy of the Average GPA for the top 10 schools (top 9 really) and they are all within your range. (Just in case you were wondering...)
