I have already lined up my two recommenders 10 days back.. But today one of the recommender told me that she might not be able to work on it as she found out her recurring cancer needs to be treated in next several days. I completely understand her and i don't even want to bother her. Looking back at my apps, now i dont have second recommender :( Was thinking about my previous managers, but everyone will ask me to provide a write up. I have previous HR manager whom i continue work closely in a voluntary oraganization. Is it OK to get a recommendation from my previous HR manager? She doesn't know my work, but overall she knows me personally well.

I don't see why not. Especially if she's in a position to add some perspective into your professional as well as your community accomplishments.

Thanks solaris! I am trying other souces but if not possible, i have to go with HR recommendation only..
