A dwellings per capita is compared with large city
B same
C Correct, has and does are parallel.
D than do other large cities is correct but *higher numbers of* is not a correct idiom. I guess it's either *a number of* which is plural or *the number of* which is singular, but never *numbers of*

E wordy,awkward ...and also *High....than* is not correct. must be *Higher than*

(A) a higher number of family dwellings per capita than any large city: any other large city is correct usage so it is wrong
(B) higher numbers of family dwellings per capita than any other large city: comparing of city and dwelling so it is incorrect
(C) a higher number of family dwellings per capita than does any other large city
(D) higher numbers of family dwellings per capita than do other large cities
(E) a high per capita number of family dwellings, more than does any other large city

I am not convinced by D also but it looks better than rest.

I got it completely wrong..A number of is correct usage so i was wrong. i need to concentrate better.

A. the second clause misses the verb...wrong comparison
B. see upside....moreover...it is a higher number of
C. correct
D. higher numbers of family dwellings ...wrong...it must be a higher number
E. very unclear
