Low GMAT score in the first time [#permalink]

Hello, I sat for the first time for the GMAT last month and I got a low score. English is my third language and I havent done well in the verbal section...I am preparing again and I felt that I am improving a lot..However, I am bit concerned about my application in the next month..Even if I score a high score in my second attempt, does first time score affect my application as most of the universities declare that they consider the last GMAT score? Please advice.

You did not mentioned in which area you are weak. If you are weak in Sentence correction of verbal then I would suggest by Manhattan GMAT SC book and read it diligently. If you are weak in area of critical reasoning then go for Powerscore CR bible which is the good one. For quant, go through OG-10 and OG-11 and once you finish them you can go for GMAT club challenges.

Please advice. Your 510 score won't matter to the schools if you end up with a higher score on your second try. Schools typically only look at your highest score.
