Hi,
I would like to share my GMAT journey for the last 1.5 years which includes 2 GMAT attempts. I started with registering for
Kaplan's GMAT on-site prep classes and sat through their two batches. In addition to the
Kaplan study materials I also studied Manhattan's study guides and Power Score Bible for CR. However my score has only improved from 430 (my first
Kaplan Diagnostic), to 450 (my1st GMAT in June 2012) and to 480 - Q39, V17 (my 2nd GMAT Attempt in Jan 2013).
I am planning to apply for UCI FEMBA course but I suspect that my 18 years of work experience and 480 GMAT will not be sufficient to get accepted in the Spring 2013 class. Hence I am planning to go for a 3rd GMAT attempt so that I can apply for the fall batch.
I have about 3 months time to recoup and need some serious help/advise to achieve a 600 target score. Please help.
Best Regards.
Hi,
Don't be disheartened and I'd suggest you to target much higher, rather than 600. From your scores, it is visible that verbal needs a lot of improvement. I've spent quite some time on this site and I believe that many of the applicants had a good success rate in verbal after taking
e-Gmat courses. Try to use MGMAT for your quants and do a lot of practice. Target 700's.
Read the following experiences, which, I believe will inspire you.
