Low GPA/750 GMAT/Quality work ex. Plz evaluate me [#permalink] New post 27 May 2011, 23:48
Hi
Am from India. am aiming for 2012 fall intake. can anyone advise me if i can still apply to the following Universities with my score.

Bachelors Degree - Bachelors in Business Management from Christ College, Bangalore University, India
Bachelors Degree score - 57%
GMAT - 750
TOEFL - 116
Work Ex - 5 yrs in family business.

My bachelors degree score is low and is only 57%. Does my GMAT and TOEFL score and my work experience makes my application strong if I my Essays and LOR are strong. ?
Can i submit my application to the following B-Schools with this low Bachelors score?

-Texas A&M Uni (Mays)
-Duke Uni (Fuqua)
-Uni of Rochestor (Simon)

Any suggestion for other B-Schools

Thanks in advance

Ankith,

Congrats on the great GMAT score. You should address your low undergraduate GPA, but this is very doable. Here is a link to a candidate who overcame this issue:

For a list of school recommendations, is there a specific location in the US you are interested in? What industries would you like to pursue post-graduation? Any criteria you have will be of help.

For your candidacy, your GMAT score is of great help, but you will need to also discuss your role in the family business and the impact you have had. This will play a large role in your application.

I hope to hear from you.

Cheers,

Conrad and the Stacy Blackman Team
