low GPA in undergrad haunts me

Hi,

I am from India where we have a % system. Please evaluate how the adcom would see my % as compared to other applicants..

My details:

63% in Bachelor of Tech. in computer science
4th in class in 1 semester
highest % in class was 75%
however, i have a rank in top 15 in class of 65

is this poor GPA or a an average one for a US top 10 MBA program.

It really depends on the reference group but you were still in the top quarter of the class. This is high enough that it should not "haunt" you when applying to the higher cluster schools.

If you still have doubts, you can always take coursework now to demonstrate your ability.

THis is not a "haunting" GPA. It actually sounds like an average to good one for MBA students. Two factors will color its interpretation:

1) The reputation of the school that you graduated from.
2) Your GMAT.
