Low GPA, what are my chances for SSE MsC in Finance?

I have graduated from the Johns Hopkins University this May but have not received diploma yet, because I still owe the school a semester of payment, I will take care of it this year.
My 2.8 GPA is considered to be low, I believe it's equivalent to 2:1 to 2:2 in UK's grading. Instead of studying, I put all my energy into poker and made a immature decision to become a full-time one. Mistakes have been made and I want to redeem myself and focus on things that actually matter. I have recently developed a passion in investment banking ideally in coverage - Renewable Energy or product - M&A, ECM.
Now, I have heard that SSE is offering a very good MsC Finance program at no cost if I am an EU citizen. I have not taken GMAT yet, but I have scored 630 on a practice test without time limit. I have a few questions regarding this program:
1. If I score really? high on GMAT, will it help me cover my weak GPA?
2. I heard that London investment banks love SSE, however, they only recruit Swedes and foreigners have no chance, is that true?
3. Is there any other way for me to leverage myself to increase my odds of getting admitted? What kind of students are they looking for?
4. I have also heard about the dual degree and exchange programs, I would like to hear more about it?
I am receiving my European Citizenship (Czech Republic) at the end of this year and I am an Asian Ethnicity (Vietnam) born in Russia. I have lived in Germany for 4 years and moved to the Czech Republic since I was 7. I have obtained an Associate Degree in the US and and I am going to receive my Bachelor's Degree when I make my last payment.
I have interned in a no-name american Commercial Real Estate firm.
I have no achievements except for winning some poker tournaments at large Casinos, which is embarrassing.
Is there any hope for me? I really want to turn my life around. Thank you in advance.
