LSE MS F&E or MS MRR? Is my background right for these two? [#permalink] New post 09 Oct 2011, 14:59
Well , I'd like to introduce my background first:

I am currently an undergraduate student in a UK university (top 20) studying Economics and Finance. Last academic year, my overall grade is 75%, that is first class honor. And I also spent two years in a Chines University before I came to UK, studying International Finance, the two-year GPA is 3.8/4.0. Great academic performance in mathematical courses, average above 90%.
Poor GMAT score: T690 Q51 V31. :( I think the Q part is OK for the program application, and since my first language is not English, I did poorly in Verbal section.
Working experience: Summer internship in Standard Chartered Bank; a internship in a Chinese securities investment company; a internship in a Chinese commercial bank.
University activities: the Human Resources Officer in union of societies, and teaching information assistant. I have led a research group in Chinese university focused on the low-carbon economy.

These are my basic informations.

Well, the problem here is that, I really want to study in LSE or the G5 universities in UK, but I found out that the MSc Finance and Economics in LSE is really competitive. I need you guys' advice about the program. Is my background right for this program? And should i improve any aspect of my C.V ? What is the average requirement for GMAT, since I did poorly in this section.
I am also very interested in the MSc Management and Regulation of Risk in LSE, should I put it in my first choice or second? LSE allows the applicants to choose two programs. So which one is preferred?

I do appreciate that if someone could give any keys to tips to my question. Thanks a lot. :-D
