Money is paid into an account in portions of $500 and paid out in portions of $300. If after a month the account grew by $1,200, what is the least possible number of transactions that could have been made?

The question is not pretty clear. I suppose there were no begaining balances.

I go with B. 3(500) - 1(300) = 1200.

So total transactions = 3+1 = 4

Well I would go for 4.
I feel portion of 500 means one transaction so on that note we will have 4.

I would be very surprised if answer comes to be 3.
