Hi,

The correct answer to this question is C) -- BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient --, but the last line of the explanation says this :

"Statements (1) and (2) combined are insufficient."

The statements (1) and (2) combined are indeed SUFFICIENT.
